A quick and comforting cheesesteak-style dinner made with seasoned ground beef, sautéed peppers, and melted cheese.
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
1 medium onion, sliced (150 g)
1 green bell pepper, sliced (120 g)
1 red bell pepper, sliced (120 g)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon (5 g) salt
1/2 teaspoon (2 g) black pepper
1 teaspoon (5 g) garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon (1 g) smoked paprika
4 hoagie rolls
6 slices provolone cheese or 1 1/2 cups (170 g) shredded mozzarella
Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté onions and peppers until softened.
Add garlic and cook briefly.
Brown ground beef and season with spices.
Stir vegetables and beef together and top with cheese.
Cover until cheese melts, then serve on warm rolls.
